چکیده

Abstract Qualitative science methods have largely been omitted from discussions of open science. Platforms focused on qualitative that support data and method sharing are rare. Sharing exchanging coding schemas has great potential for supporting traceability in research as well facilitating the reuse schemas. In this study, we present evaluate QualiCO, an ontology to describe Twenty researchers used QualiCO complete two tasks. our findings, task performance interview focus participants’ attention ontology. Participants tasks, decreasing time task, while improving accuracy, signifying enabled Our discussion elaborates some issues participants had highlights how conceptual prior practice frames their interpretation can be used.

Linked Open Science-Communicating, Sharing and Evaluating Data, Methods and Results for Executable Papers

Linked Open Science is an approach to solve challenges of an executable paper. It is a combination of four “silver bullets”: 1) publication of scientific data, metadata, results, and provenance information using Linked Data principles, 2) open source and web-based environments for executing, validating and exploring research, 3) Cloud Computing for efficient and distributed computing, and 4) Cr...

An ontology model to facilitate knowledge-sharing in multi-agent systems

This paper presents and motivates an extended ontology knowledge model which represents semantic information about concepts explicitly. This knowledge model results from enriching the standard conceptual model with semantic information which precisely characterises the concept’s properties and expected ambiguities, including which properties are prototypical of a concept and which are exception...

A science of topography: From qualitative ontology to digital representations

Mountains are among the most prominent of geographic features (Smith and Mark, 2001). They also have social and emotional significance, serving as objects of worship in many cultures and as landmarks in many more. And, of course, mountains provide challenges to adventurers and scientists alike. Thus it should come as no surprise that geomorphologists and other environmental scientists have been...

An application of principal component analysis and logistic regression to facilitate production scheduling decision support system: an automotive industry case

Production planning and control (PPC) systems have to deal with rising complexity and dynamics. The complexity of planning tasks is due to some existing multiple variables and dynamic factors derived from uncertainties surrounding the PPC. Although literatures on exact scheduling algorithms, simulation approaches, and heuristic methods are extensive in production planning, they seem to be ineff...
